STYLIST MAGAZINE, ISSUE 200

The Stylist are celebrating their 200th issue next week and are working on a very special birthday issue. Rob has worked closely with The Stylist over the years and for this issue he was asked to work on a feature with Claudia Schiffer who is acting as Fashion Director.

Claudia chose four shoes for Rob to illustrate by Dolce & Gabanna, Alaia, Chanel and Sophia Webster and Rob worked to create a story around them.

Rob called the feature ‘The Word On the Street: Four Shoes Give It To You Straight’,  here he is planning out the pages. Rob created a beautiful title page and a drew each shoe over four pages with his words weaving in and around them.

Each of Rob’s drawings were then carefully cut by hand using a scalpel.

Once each piece was cut Rob decided on a blue colour theme, some of the papercuts were left white and photographed against a coloured background. The papercuts were then photographed by Packshot Factory where Peter is very familar with Robs work and makes sure we capture the papercuts intricacy and the shadows they create.
