The Invisible Kingdom: Independent Bookshop Competition
Posted by on Monday 24th March, 2014To coincide with the launch of The Invisible Kingdom Rob’s publisher Random House ran a competition amongst independent bookshops to create a store display inspired by the book for the chance to win a visit to meet Rob here at our studio!
The winner of The Invisible Kingdom Independent Bookshop Competition was Booka Bookshop, a brilliant independent bookshop and cafe located in the centre of Oswestry, owned and run by Carrie and Tim Morris alongside their great team of helpful staff. To read more about Booka Bookshop click here.
Louisa from the book shop was responsible for their winning display – she recreated the front cover of The Invisible Kingdom by carefully handpainting the curtains and window panes onto their window.
On Thursday last week we had a great day when Tim and Louisa from Booka Bookshop came for their Ryantown HQ studio visit, we even had to migrate from our kitchen table to the big studio table for our lunch!
Thank you to Random House for setting up such a fantastic competition, it was great to see so many exciting entires showing how Robs book has inspired you all!
