The Egg Hunt is a charitable event that runs for three weeks and features an auction of all the eggs at Sotheby’s on the 22nd of April. Members of the public can download a free smartphone app that helps locate the eggs around the city.  All of the eggs will then be on display in a finale exhibition at the Rockefeller Center from April 18th – 26th.

Here are images of Robs egg in-the-making from 2012. It reads, ‘We promise to keep the egg safe. We promise to keep the child safe. Every bone, beak and wing is precious to every bird in our world.’

The Big Egg Hunt was launched in London in 2012 where Robs egg was first revealed. Since then, the project has raised over £1 million for many good causes across the globe. Last year saw the hunt move to other cities across the UK, and in Dublin, Ireland.
