Juun J & Rob Ryan: Fashion Collaboration
Posted by on Thursday 31st July, 2014Rob recently collaborated with celebrated Korean designer Juun J for Juun’s Spring Summer 2015 collection. Juun J approached Rob after discovering his work at Colette in Paris where Rob had a show earlier this year.
Juun was inspired by Rob’s work, especially Rob’s book ‘A Sky Full of Kindness’. Three pages from the book were translated onto loose oversized jerseys and shirts which were paired with wide shorts on the catwalk.
Juun J graduated from ESMOD Seoul in 1992, and went on to create his own label ‘Lone Costume’ in 1999. At Paris Fashion Week in 2007, Juun went on to debut his namesake label to great acclaim. He states he is largely inspired by youth and street culture which he aptly calls ‘Street Tailoring’. You can read more about his work here.
The ‘Oxford’ collection was shown at Paris Menswear Fashion Week in June.
There will be commercial pieces for sale from this collection too!! I will post more information about this once they are available.
