New Tea Towel For ToDryFor
Posted by on Wednesday 28th June, 2017We are pleased to reveal Rob’s latest collaboration with ToDryFor – the Helping Hand tea towel.
ToDryFor is run by Sally and Dave from West Yorkshire, they produce tea towels, mugs and cushions that promote the work of UK artists, illustrators and designers. ToDryFor began in 2008, and since then Rob has collaborated with them to produce 3 tea towels. You can read more about previous designs here and here.
This particular tea towel is extra special as all of the profits go to the Sick Childrens Trust, a UK based charity founded in 1982. The trust believes that keeping families together is fundamental to the recovery of ill children, and works towards providing ‘home from home’ accommodation alongside physical and emotional support to families with sick children.
The chosen design originated from a previous papercut of Rob’s, entitled Leaf Kiss, which he adapted to fit the portrait shape of the tea towel. The artwork was then sent to Sally and Dave, who printed it in Yorkshire. The design captures innocence, selfless nurture, and the helping hand mentality of the Sick Children’s Trust.
